If you decide to use an announcement with a picture of the new born in it, whether girl, boy, twins or triplets, one main issue always dominates the whole process: the clothing that you choose for the new born.
It has become a trend these days that announcement includes a photo of the new born. In many cultures, the new born is dressed in pure white on the first days of life. Cot dressing, bonnets, small mittens, socks and frocks are made out in white. It is the symbol of purity.
The essence of pure innocence is represented. Thus it is only natural that when making a photo announcement, the new born is accordingly dressed up in white.
Many others prefer different colors to match the season, the baby’s complexion, or even the sex of the child. For winter white is chosen for both girls and boys. In a sense it represents snow and more cold weather. For summer, a light yellow is chosen. It is more of a lemon yellow, representing the sun. Summer is warm and vibrant thus a lively color is chosen. Fall and spring call for gentler colors, suitable for the changing seasons.
However, when it comes to sex of the new born, a Posey pink is a match for a feminine touch, while a lighter shade of blue for masculine sex. Pink is usually blended with white, and little peach colored ribbons are added to bring out both colors. As for the boys, a touch of brown is added to the blue as well as white.
The background has to be chosen carefully to bring out the colors of the clothing being worn by the new born. But remember; do not overpower the baby’s small delicate features with dark colors. A plain white flannel will enhance the background, if the baby is being photographed sleeping wise. The main importance here is to maintain the proper balance for the best picture for the announcement. But most important is the comfort of the baby. Bear in mind that a baby that feels uncomfortable might be nerves and cry, so take care to dress the baby comfortably, ensuring a happy baby for the picture.
